What is the Filipino tradition fiesta?
Festivals and Events in the Philippines
The Filipinos call it “fiesta” – a party where everyone is invited to join! Every barrio, town, province, city has their own fiesta to celebrate once a year. So, for sure there's always fiesta going on somewhere around the country. Rain or shine, good times or bad, it's unstoppable... the fiesta must go on!

Why do Filipinos celebrate fiesta?
Today, there are fiestas throughout the Philippines to celebrate events in the life of Jesus and Mary, and to honor saints who lived long ago. When the Spaniards came, many communities were given names of saints. Nearly all towns have a patron saint to remember.
Coming together and celebrating the country’s beauty and culture gave the participants and the festival goers an incomparable feeling of unity and pride. This exceptional event marked the history and preserved cultural heritage of us, Filipinos.
