This video vlog is a segment of Art Talk part of the ARTURA dedicated to the artist and people who love art. I interviewed who have lessons to learn from their sacrifices and dedication to work hard to uphold our rich history and culture. I made to support our brothers and sisters in the arts. An artist plays an important role in recognizing our culture.

This is another education and documentary on the creative person. I hope they will be inspired by their sacrifices and dedication in the field of arts and culture.

KUYA JESS ART TALK an exclusive interview with Sir, CHIT ASIGNACION from TAM-AWAN VILLAGE

"I am not really an artist, but I love art.

The future plan of Tam-Awan after 25 years we hope after 2 years from now we have an Ibaloi museum and gallery here at tam-Awan. we will build 2 buildings structures, is under negotiation with the city and the Kamdas Piraso's clan for approval. And then that will be our legacy for the next 5 years.

QUESTION & ANSWER

KUYA JESS Q.- Sir, in the 25th years of tam-Awan village, what has been good in the art community?

CHIT A. - for the art community we have evolved, got bigger and bigger since we started in 1998.

we started with the 5 Artist, then 10 and now we have thousand artist all over the Philippines. affiliated members of the village that comes and join the festival every year! and we are also part of the MAPEH of a senior high.

So, art students who are inclined for to become an artist?

They attend classes in tam-Awan every Friday from the Baguio city national high school. So, he is part of the school curriculum. Every Friday we have 20 students now being trained by our In-house artist.

KUYA JESS Q.- Sir, in 25 years are their ups and downs?

CHIT A. - of course, what we have experience during the 2009. typhoon we are damage heavily. half of the village was damage, but we tried to recover. with the help of fellow artist and friends of the Chanum foundation.

We almost closed then specially with the help of Japan foundation. they are the one who funded the restoration of the frontage.

KUYA JESS Q.- where will the museum be placed?

CHIT A. - here too and it's bigger and double, the whole site is on the side.

KUYA JESS Q.- Sir, what is in the museum and what can be seen there?

CHIT A. - it will be our art collection and ibaloi artifacts.

KUYA JESS Q.- what is the name of that museum?

CHIT A. - we're planning to name it as suggest to Kampas Piraso Clan. it will be either will be name to the late Walsy Piraso Kamdas. the father of Doctor Cabato the KAMDAS CLAN. But the last time we had a meeting they we're suggesting "PIRASO'S KAMDAS MUSEUM."

KUYA JESS Q.- are there any activities that can be added to the next festival?

CHIT A. - The next festival we're planning to have emerged will combining visual and music. and it will be held, and we are in La Union. - "LUNA, LA UNION" it's a beach, a setting will be in the beach.

KUYA JESS Q.- what's that, the duration is the same, nothing has changed, it's still 5 days?

CHIT A. - Music fest and Art festival

KUYA JESS Q.- How about the accommodation? for example, there are also many visitors.

KUYA JESS Q.- how many delegates now?

CHIT A. - now we recorded 350 artists. but tomorrow there are more to come until Friday. Also, when arriving at the accommodation you can set up a tent, we have cottages and

CHIT A. - in Luna, La union.

CHIT A. - It's an hour and 45 minutes. just close from Luna 25-30 minutes it's another milestone of Tam-Awan actually the purpose of Tam-Awan festival should be moving festival.

We have something new to look forward to, this is the art and music festival will hold at Luna, La Union for 2024 next year. it will be November 2nd week of November; it will be the "FOUNDATION DAY OF LUNA."
