Lion dance is an important ritual in Chinese tradition believed to bring good luck and drive away evil spirits on auspicious occasions.


A good performance has the ability to bring good luck and happiness. Chinese associations and kung fu schools use Lion Dance to display the organization's character and strength.





In this gathering there was a better opportunity to bring Photo Nation and Urban Sketchers Manila together in the same oldest chinatown in binondo manila.

This group wants to prove that despite all odds, we are able to share a glimpse of the beauty (and not) of our cities or otherwise about life through our sketchbooks. It has less to do with skill level or technique. What is more important is experiencing the process of looking, seeing, feeling and recording on paper.
