To celebrate the artistic excellence and pay tribute to the uniqueness and diversity of the Filipino heritage and culture, the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) leads the celebration of 2024 National Arts Month (NAM) by virtue of Presidential Proclamation No. 683, signed in 1991.

CCP Tanghalang Ignacio Gimenez (Black Box Theater)


The Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP) is located in Metro Manila, the Philippines, and was opened in 1969 to promote and preserve Filipino arts and culture. It hopes to become the mecca of culture and the arts in Asia. CCP is an important national institute of culture of the Philippines.


The Tanghalang Ignacio Gimenez or the new CCP Black Box Theater is a flexible theatrical space that can sit anywhere from 272 to 320 people (using state-of-the-art variable seating technology). It has at least four (4) stage and seating configurations: proscenium or end stage, in the round or arena, thrust and cabaret (with tables and chairs).

The theater is ideal for performances of dance, theatre, music and multimedia productions. The flexibility of the retractable seating provision allows for other activities such as art congresses, workshops and other events.

The venue was named after its donor, a Filipino philanthropist, Ignacio B. Gimenez.

The heart of the festivities, PASINAYA 2024, is poised to be the largest multi-arts festival in the Philippines, scheduled for February 3-4, 2024.

The Pasinaya aims to 'provide a platform for the artists and cultural groups to showcase their talents while nurturing the broadest public and creating new audiences through interactions and performances in February dubbed as art month.


Happening in various venues at the CCP Complex such as CCP Front Lawn.







The largest multi-arts festival in the country organized by the Cultural Center of the Philippines.



Established in 2005, Pasinaya was conceived as a jump start to the National Arts Month celebration; hence it is scheduled every first week of February.


Originally, it was created as a preview for the CCP's artistic programming for the year.





These include indoor and outdoor venues around the complex, such as the CCP Front Lawn, Liwasang Kalikasan, Tanghalang Ignacio Gimenez.
