Intramuros, the Walled City of Manila, has further solidified its position as a premier historical, cultural, and tourism destination.



The center is housed at the former site of San Ignacio Church, one of the seven original churches of Intramuros that was renowned for its Neoclassical architecture and intricate woodwork. 

The church was destroyed during the Battle of Manila in 1945.

The good thing about this museum is that it has an attractive sensory when it comes to lighting, sound and video. he also has an amphitheater space to watch their big video wall showing the history of old manila.

Centro de Turismo Intramuros will foster a deeper understanding of the past and ignite a passion for preserving our cultural treasures. 

TAKE NOTE:

When entering the Centro De Turismo, large bags are not allowed inside the museum. So, it is left at the bag counter and it is guarded by their assigned guard and you will be given a number for your left luggage. Important personal items such as cellphones and money etc. can be carried. 



Centro de Turismo Intramuros will open its doors to the public starting 12 June 2024, in time for the commemoration of the 126th Philippine Independence Day! It will operate daily from 9AM to 6PM, 

with FREE ENTRANCE for all.

The museum showcases 8,000 artifacts, mostly ecclesiastical collection, originally from the Museo de Intramuros.

Visitors are encouraged to pre-register through https://centro.intramuros.gov.ph/.

Walk-ins are also welcome according to the Intramuros Administration.

LENGTH TO VISIT:

You can only last for half an hour. and the capacity is 50 people. Because it is still new and in the next few days it will be crowded with tourists. You should check the social media page for details of info.

THINGS TO BRING:

A bottle of water, Camera, Power bank, Cellphone, Candy, Cash should be on your bag. and if you're a student or senior citizen, bring your I. D's.

WHAT TO WEAR:

There are no Dress Codes, but it's always best to dress in comfort since you will be walking around. wearing casual clothing and flat footwear is highly recommended.
