126th Anniversary of the Bureau of Quarantine (BOQ)
“126 Years of Guarding the Nation’s Gateways”
🎨 BOQ Calendar 2026:
Sining bilang Bantay at Alaala
126th Anniversary of the Bureau of Quarantine (BOQ)
In commemoration of the 126th Anniversary of the Bureau of Quarantine (BOQ), as we enter 2026, the BOQ Calendar 2026 is launched as a tribute to over a century of dedicated service in safeguarding the health and security of the Filipino people.
QL JAIME: A Vessel of Service
At the heart of this calendar is Quarantine Launch (QL) JAIME, one of BOQ’s operational transport vessels that carries quarantine officers to ships and seaports for inspections and clearances. Procured in 2018, this fiberglass launch is equipped with twin engines, reaches a top speed of 27 knots, and can accommodate up to 12 passengers. More than a vessel, QL JAIME symbolizes the BOQ’s constant readiness and unwavering commitment to protecting the nation’s health.

Art Meets Heritage
In August 2025, artists from Art Camp Philippines were welcomed to Manila Port to create on-site sketches and paintings of QL JAIME, alongside the BOQ Heritage Building, marked with a National Historical Marker. This initiative transformed operational spaces into canvases of cultural reflection, highlighting the skill and creativity of Filipino artists while paying tribute to the long-standing public service of BOQ officers.
A Celebration of Art, Community, and Service
Each page of the 2026 calendar reflects the dedication of quarantine officers and the artistic vision of participating artists, showcasing the intersection of art, heritage, public health, and community service. It is a reminder that safeguarding the nation is not only a duty, but also an inspiration—an opportunity to connect history, culture, and creativity for the benefit of all Filipinos.

🙏 Pasasalamat
