Rizal Day is a Philippine national holiday commemorating life and works of JosΓ© Rizal, a national hero of the Philippines. It is celebrated every December 30, the anniversary of Rizal's 1896 execution at Bagumbayan in Manila. JOSEPHINE SLEEPING' IS THE WORLD'S MOST EXPENSIVE WORK OF ART!
The National Museum publicized 'Josephine Sleeping', one of the last works of National Hero Jose Rizal to commemorate the 128th year of Rizal's heroism on 'Rizal Day'. According to the leadership of the National Museum, the work 'Josephine Sleeping' reflects that apart from being a hero, writer, and scientist, Rizal is also a person who loves. 30 December, as we walk in the footsteps of Jose Rizal’s legacy and heroism by learning about the National Museum’s special Rizaliana collections.
